Mindfulness Coaching

I was introduced to meditation at a very young age and over many decades and extensive education and practice, I have developed a deep appreciation for the power of bringing more presence and awareness into our daily life. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and help my clients to improve their health and well being  through mindful breath and movement.

Mindfulness coaching sessions might include teaching the basics of a mindfulness practice if you have never had one before or sharpening up and expanding on what you have already built. I help clients integrate mindfulness more fully into their life through sitting practices, breathwork and mindful movement.  Overtime, clients increase mindful habits and create a more awake and aware lifestyle that positively impacts relationships, health and well being.

Benefits of Mindfulness

Mindfulness improves physical health.

If greater well-being isn’t enough of an incentive, scientists have discovered that mindfulness techniques help improve physical health in a number of ways. Mindfulness can: help relieve stress, treat heart disease, lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, , improve sleep, and alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties.

Increasing your capacity for mindfulness supports many attitudes that contribute to a satisfied life. Being mindful makes it easier to savor the pleasures in life as they occur, helps you become fully engaged in activities, and creates a greater capacity to deal with adverse events. By focusing on the here and now, many people who practice mindfulness find that they are less likely to get caught up in worries about the future or regrets over the past, are less preoccupied with concerns about success and self-esteem, and are better able to form deep connections with others.
